MEPIVACAINE
A localanaesthetic that is chemically related to bupivacainebut pharmacologically related to lidocaine. It is indicated for infiltration, nerve block, and epidural anaesthesia. Mepivacaine is effective topically only in big doses and therefore must not be used by this route.
