SPOROCYST
1. An asexual zooid, generally forming one of a series of larval forms in the agamicreproduction of different trematodes and another parasitic worms. The sporocyst usually develops from an egg, but in its turn produces another larvae by inside budding, or by the subdivision of a part or all of its contents into a number of minute germs. See Redia.
2. Any protozoan when it becomes encysted produces germs by sporulation.
