URIDINE DIPHOSPHATE GALACTOSE
A nucleosidediphosphate sugar which can be epimerised into udpglucose for entryinto the mainstream of carbohydrate metabolism. Serves as a source of galactose in the synthesis of lipopolysaccharides, cerebrosides, and lactose.
