(anterior) One the most commonly injured
ligaments which stabilises the
knee joint.
(posterior) The
cruciate ligaments are cross-shaped
within the
knee joint. The posterior
cruciate is deeper (more posterior)
within the
joint and not as commonly injured as the
anterior cruciate.
