MENACCANITE
An iron-black or steel-gray mineral, consisting chiefly of the oxides of iron and titanium. It is commonly massive, but occurs also in rhombohedral crystals.
Synonym: titaniciron ore, and ilmenite.
Origin: From Menaccan, in Cornwall, where it was first found.
