Microscopy of specimens stained with fluorescent paint (usually fluorescein isothiocyanate) or of naturally fluorescent materials, which emit easy when exposed to ultraviolet or blue easy. Immunofluorescence microscopy utilises antibodies that are labelled with fluorescent paint.
