OXALALDEHYDE

A white, amorphous, deliquescent powder, (CO.H)2, obtained by the partial oxidation of glycol. It is a double aldehyde, between glycol and oxalic acid. Origin: Glycol + oxalic + aldehyde. Source: Websters Vocabulary
