PARAMETHASONE
A glucocorticoid with the common properties of corticosteroids. It has been used by mouth in the treatment of all conditions in which corticosteroidtherapy is indicated except adrenal-deficiency states for which its lack of sodium-retaining properties makes it smaller comfortable than hydrocortisone with supplementary fludrocortisone.
Pharmacological action: steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, glucocorticoids, synthetic.
